CANDID CONVERSATION ON WOMEN TOPICS WITH WOMEN COMMUNITY LEADERS

In this episode we speak to the two leading women figures of Nepali community from Melbourne. Bobby Lama is a Gender Equity and family violence Project Co-Ordinator at Whittlesea Community Connection (WCC) , Melbourne. Bobby also oversees WCC women’s group Grant Co-Ordinator. Bobbys is also the instigator for establishing the Nepalese women's football team with UNITED FC in Melbourne.

Second Guest, Lalisha is first Nepali Australian recipient of Victorian Honours roll Of Women- 2023, for her outstanding work and contribution towards the Nepalese women in Australia.  Lalisha is currently serving as a Vice President of Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV).

In this episode we explore a range of topics on women’s issues. Both Bobby and Lalisha will share their experience and views on how their role has been inspiring and motivating others in the community. They take on the questions such as five issues migrant women are facing in the Nepali community, women’s issues that need an urgent platform, role they have been playing individually or in organization to ensure the presented issues are being heard.

Nothing is off the table with these two—their candid conversations cover everything from myths. misconceptions to mischaracterization of women.

More importantly they will reveal two community members who they look up to as their role model.
