Chiya Guff on LGBTIQA+ with Ashley Singh Thapa | S02EP05

This episode aims to educate listeners on the LGBTQIA+ in NEPALI language.In this episode, we gathered around a table with Ashley Singh Thapa- a queer writer, story teller and trans herself to talk on the topic of gender, identity, orientation. Ashley is a social worker by profession and currently works as corporate consultant.  

This podcast is unique in many ways because we believe that our guest will help Nepali community to understand LGBTIQ+ language and terminology for the first time. Additionally, Ashley will talk about affirming LGBTIQ+ identities for people, and how to engage respectfully with LGBTIQ.

This podcast is an eye opener for those who are looking on to embed LGBTIQ+ inclusive practices into everyday behaviours . This episode contains some vulnerable exchange on story of coming out, Ashley’s own struggle and story of her resilience. We also talk about Nepali society and issues of acceptance.
